About The Position

The Snowcat Operator is responsible for maintaining and grooming the mountain skiing surfaces to the finest level possible. This role requires a commitment to safety for oneself, fellow employees, and guests, as well as the care of Bristol Mountain's vehicles, equipment, infrastructure, and tools. The operator will also be involved in other grooming and slope maintenance tasks and must be able to learn to operate all grooming equipment and understand basic mountain operations. Maintaining good working relationships and open communication with co-workers is essential.

Requirements

• Valid US driver's license with no restrictions
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Able to climb on and off vehicles/heavy equipment frequently
• Able to sit for extended periods of time (10 hrs.) while operating a snow cat
• Season long commitment (November 2019 April 2020)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for your own safety and the safety of your fellow employees and guests
• Responsible for the safety of Bristol Mountain’s vehicles, equipment, infrastructure, and tools
• Maintain and groom mountain skiing surfaces to finest level possible
• Ability to learn how to operate all Bristol Mountain grooming equipment and basic mountain operations
• Manual labor in other grooming and slope maintenance work
• Maintain good working relationship and open communication with co-workers
• Other duties as assigned
