About The Position

The Snow Plow/Salt Truck Driver provides professional snow removal services for clients. The role performs ongoing snow removal during all hours of the day and night and in outdoor weather conditions, with a strong attention to detail. This is a part-time, on-call position for weather events, available 24/7.

Requirements

Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Knowledge of snow truck removal strategies.
Ability to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift, grasp, carry, push, and pull as needed.
Ability to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Ability to work in outdoor conditions including hot, cold, freezing, rainy, snowy, and wet weather, with proper attire.
Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Reliable transportation to the branch or first job site.
Safe driving record and ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Responsibilities

Remove snow from designated areas using a plow/salt truck.
Operate heavy equipment to remove snow and treat icy conditions for clients.
Safely and appropriately distribute de-icing solutions.
Perform physically demanding work consistently in all weather conditions, particularly very cold, icy, and snowy weather.
Use equipment such as shovels, snow scrapers, snow blowers, and salt spreaders properly.
Apply chemicals using proper application methods.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
