About The Position

The SMB Sales Representative’s primary responsibility is to sell Fintech’s subscription-based platform to independent small business owners and operators. Our solution helps retailers and hospitality operators streamline accounts payable and vendor payments for alcohol and non-alcohol beverage purchases while providing real-time visibility into purchasing data and analytics.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years inside or outside B2B sales required.
  • Self-starter and tenacious new business hunter.
  • Goal-driven.
  • Strong desire to compete in a professional manner and excel in a sales peer group.
  • People-oriented and client-focused.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with internal team members in a professional manner.
  • Ability to interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Excellent phone manners are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Detail-oriented organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in order to meet timelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a customer relationship management (CRM) software application (Salesforce.com preferred, but not required).
  • Phone training and/or online presentation experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify sales leads for sales pursuit using digital prospecting, industry networks, trade publications, and third-party partner resources, while also identifying opportunities to upgrade existing clients from Fintech’s payment-only platform to Fintech’s full suite of solutions.
  • Deliver phone and Zoom sales demos to small business owners.
  • Utilize a consultative approach to uncover prospects’ business challenges and position Fintech value statements as a means to mitigate those challenges.
  • Participate in sales-led marketing programs that promote client interest.
  • Develop relationships and maintain frequent communications with assigned distributors and strategic partners to increase lead referrals.
  • Close deals.
  • Prepare, collect, and process sales service agreements for new clients.
  • Participate in a weekly team sales cadence and sales performance reporting.
