About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring a Small Engine Technician (Mechanic) at their retail facility in Waxahachie, TX. This role involves working on the newest fleet in the industry and using technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues. The technician will practice safe job practices, use technology comfortably, perform maintenance and repair on customer equipment like weed eaters, lawn mowers, and leaf blowers, assist in training lower-level technicians, maintain documentation of work performed, and assist with equipment pick-up and delivery. Year-round company-provided OEM training is available. Requirements

• Must own tools applicable to position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
• Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
• This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen
• Employment is contingent on passing a background check.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
• Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably
• Maintenance and repair customer equipment such as weed eater, lawn mower, and leaf blower
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment
• Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred)
• Other duties, assigned as needed
