Slots Gaming Tech Supervisor
About The Position
This role involves coordinating and supervising Gaming Technicians, Bench Technicians, and Senior Gaming Technicians on an assigned shift. The position is responsible for the repair, overhaul, and preventative maintenance of all slot machines to ensure optimal operation. Key duties include handling floor maintenance, processing paperwork for new machine setups and checkouts, maintaining accurate machine counts and records for the Gaming Commission, and supervising the breakdown, relocation, and setup of machines. The role also involves assisting in training new technicians, staying knowledgeable about gaming laws and regulations, and promoting positive guest relations. The supervisor will bring disputes and unusual guest activities to the attention of the shift manager or Gaming Performance Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Three or more years slot experience required
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Nice To Haves
- One year of supervisory experience preferred
- Electronics degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and supervises all Gaming Technicians, Bench Technicians, Senior Gaming Technicians on assigned shift by assigning responsibilities and duties and assisting them if needed.
- Repairs, overhauls, and maintains proper preventative maintenance of all slot machines to ensure optimal operation.
- Makes recommendations and suggestions to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, evaluate, assign, and discipline all Gaming Technicians, Bench Technicians, Senior Gaming Technicians on assigned shift in a fair and equitable manner.
- Handles floor maintenance and repair.
- Processes the necessary paperwork for auditing and data processing purposes for the initial set-up and checkout of new slot machines.
- Keeps an accurate count of machines on the floor, matching the units license, maintains records of all percentage sheets as required by the Gaming Commission.
- Supervises the breakdown, relocation, and setup of relocated machines and stands.
- Assists in the training of new Gaming Technicians.
- Maintains knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and regulations, as well as property internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Brings disputes and unusual guest activities to the attention of the shift manager/ Gaming Performance Manager.
- Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
- Directly supervises all Gaming Technicians, Bench Technicians, and Senior Gaming Technicians on each assigned shift.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
