About The Position

The Slot Utility Tech provides superior service to internal and external customers and performs basic repairs and maintenance on slot machines, cabinets, and stands. The position also maintains machines in good aesthetic condition through cleaning and other preventive maintenance, including deep cleaning VLT bases and footrests. The employee may remove trash to exterior trash points during peak times and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Elementary electrical skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams.
• Ability to utilize volt-ohm meters.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees at all levels.
• Ability to use all repair equipment required for the position.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach; lift up to 50 pounds; and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a drug-free environment and pass a chemical dependency test as required.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules as needed.
• Skills are typically acquired through prior related experience or two months of on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and handle interactions positively with customers and employees, including difficult customers and varying business conditions.
• Work harmoniously with coworkers.
• Maintain the visual aesthetics of slot machines and video monitors by cleaning slot reels, glass fronts, display signs, and performing other preventive maintenance.
• Deep clean VLT machine bases and footrests.
• Remove trash to exterior trash points during peak times.
• Identify problem areas and make necessary repairs to machines.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance on slot machines, cabinets, and stands in the shop and on the casino floor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
