The Slot Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines, with infrequent assistance. This role requires extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of slot machine repair and may involve providing training or assistance to less experienced technicians. The Slot Technician will analyze and respond to a variety of customer service-related issues, and is responsible for the repair and maintenance of component-level electronic circuitry in gaming devices, as well as the installation and removal of gaming devices. Day-to-day preventative maintenance, troubleshooting ticket-in ticket-out and coin machines, performing hopper tests, and clearing coin jams and bill validator jams are key responsibilities. The role also assists in game conversions and firmware upgrades, investigates and verifies ticket issues, and maintains an inventory of necessary supplies. Additionally, the Slot Technician maintains and calibrates currency validators, executes machine moves, game conversions, installations, and floor upgrades of current ticket-in ticket-out products. They are responsible for investigating device malfunctions and clearing jams, performing daily repair and preventative maintenance of all slot machines, and adhering to all Indiana Gaming Regulations. This position requires performing work regularly, predictably, and in a professional manner, including cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces. Other duties as assigned are also part of the role.
