About The Position

The Slot Technician is responsible for providing friendly, fast, and helpful customer service while ensuring regulatory compliance with all aspects of slot machine maintenance, including moves, conversions, and repairs. This role involves ensuring the functionality of the slot maintenance system, interacting with Slot Operations personnel and guests during repairs, and assisting with slot layout and installation. The technician will also work on special projects, maintain an adequate stock of repair parts, and perform preventative maintenance, including cleaning, inspecting, adjusting, and testing machine parts. Additionally, they will perform floor maintenance by troubleshooting and repairing machine malfunctions and system problems as they occur during gaming, and assist guests with questions and complaints regarding slot machines, providing explanations and rectifying problems as appropriate. The role requires meeting department uniform, appearance, and grooming standards, adhering to attendance guidelines and company policies, and keeping work areas clean and free of safety hazards.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to six months related experience and/or training.
  • Electronic/mechanical troubleshooting and use of electronic test equipment experience required (ex: board testers, multi-meters, o-scopes).
  • Capable of moving Slot machines and equipment using a dolly or cart.
  • Ability to Transport heavy slot machines and heavy equipment long distances across various terrain using a dolly or cart.
  • Capable to Position, Put, Install, Remove Slot machines on or off Bases on Casino floor during peak business hours.
  • Capable of lifting objects that weigh 30-60lbs pounds.
  • Must be able to provide own tools necessary for performing daily task when troubleshooting or making repairs.
  • Ability to work any shift applicable (Day, Swing, or Grave) and to be flexible with work schedule if needed for special projects or business demand.
  • Must have experience with Guest service and or present an inviting positive and polite attitude towards our guest and fellow team members.
  • Must be able to work with Team and able to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills when needed.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain appropriate gaming license.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities
