About The Position

The Slot Technical Supervisor provides work direction and supervision to Slot Technicians, ensuring regulatory compliance with all aspects of slot machine maintenance, including moves, conversions, and repairs. This role is responsible for overseeing electronic gaming device activities for adherence to established procedures in collaboration with Slot Technical Assistant Managers. The supervisor ensures the functionality of the slot maintenance system, interacts with Slot Operations personnel and guests during repairs, and assists with slot layout and installation. Additionally, they train Slot Technicians, direct and perform special projects, and conduct preventative maintenance on slot machines. The position involves troubleshooting and repairing machine malfunctions and system problems, assisting guests with slot-related inquiries and complaints, and maintaining department standards for uniform, appearance, and grooming. The role also requires meeting attendance guidelines, adhering to all policies, keeping work areas clean and safe, performing duties responsibly, and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One-year related experience and/or training.
  • Electronic/mechanical troubleshooting and use of electronic test equipment experience required (e.g., board testers, multi-meters, o-scopes).
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain appropriate gaming license.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Team member must be able to qualify and maintain licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Must successfully complete TIPS training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful guest service to all guests and team members.
  • Provide work direction and supervision to Slot Technicians.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all aspects of slot machine maintenance (moves, conversions, and repair).
  • Oversee electronic gaming device activities for adherence to established procedures in collaboration with Slot Technical Assistant Managers.
  • Ensure functionality of the slot maintenance system.

  • Train Slot Technicians in job duties and tasks related to the Slot Technician position.

  • Direct and perform preventative maintenance of slot machines: clean, inspect, adjust, and test various machine parts.
  • Assist in maintaining an adequate stock of parts necessary for repairs.
  • Perform floor maintenance: troubleshoot and repair machine malfunctions and system problems as they occur during gaming.
  • Assist guests with questions and complaints regarding slot machines.
  • Provide answers and explanations and rectify problems as appropriate.
  • Meet department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements.
  • Meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
  • Adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned.

  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
