About The Position

The Slot Tech Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Slot Tech Department front line staff, including establishing work priorities and ensuring all applicable department policies and procedures are always adhered to. The incumbent must complete and remain current on related training. This role involves managing the successful preparation and execution of all Slot installs, moves and conversions, ensuring department activities comply with regulations, and overseeing all Slot technical department activities. This includes ensuring equipment is functioning and properly maintained, managing inventory, safeguarding company assets, and reviewing statistical and checkout reports. The manager will also review new technology and evaluate potential benefits of implementing new ideas.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to supervise, coordinate, direct, and assign work.
  • Ability to make judgements and decisions regarding customer employee complaints.
  • Some lifting (up to 15 pounds) may be required.
  • Six to twelve months on-the-job learning is required to fully understand all systems, procedures, processes, and the expectations of the position

Nice To Haves

  • Related education and experience preferred.
  • 5 years previous customer service and cash handling experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of the Slot Tech Department front line staff.
  • Establishing work priorities and ensuring adherence to department policies and procedures.
  • Completing and remaining current on related training.
  • Providing aspects of superior service to both internal and external guests.
  • Performing assigned slot department activities in accordance with Internal Controls.
  • Managing the successful preparation and execution of all Slot installs, moves and conversions.
  • Ensuring that all department activities are in compliance with regulations.
  • Consulting with the Director of Operations regarding employee performance and issues requiring disciplinary action.
  • Seeking the Director of Operations guidance and authorization to settle guest disputes or concerns which involve financial claims or may question the integrity of the gaming operation.
  • Providing direct supervision to approximately 8 - 12 Slot Attendants per shift when required.
  • Managerial duties include training and development, assigning work, providing advice and direction, coaching and counseling, coordinating unit activities, establishing work standards, monitoring work quality, and providing functional supervision.
  • Working closely with the Director of Operations in employee matters such as hiring or promotion, performance appraisals, and handling disciplinary matters.
  • Taking all necessary precautions to protect the safety and health of workers and ensuring that safe work practices are developed and adhered to.
  • Managing all Slot technical department activities including ensuring that all equipment is functioning and properly maintained.
  • Ordering and maintaining inventory of all slot equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Safeguarding all Company assets.
  • Reviewing statistical reports for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Reviewing checkout reports and investigating and reconciling overages and shortages.
  • Reviewing new technology, equipment, and accessories under development, and evaluating potential benefits of implanting these new ideas.
  • Responsible for the management of the Slot Department.
  • Accountable for decisions affecting revenue, staffing, purchasing, policy development and staff performance.
