About The Position

To provide friendly and courteous service to all slots patrons and contribute to the protection of all Casino assets. The incumbent will perform minimal physical efforts such as climbing, lifting, stooping, and reaching. The preponderancy of the physical exertion will be spent in standing and walking for long periods of time. The work environment is typical of that in a busy casino with heavy cigarette smoke accompanied with a variety of competing noises and communications.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of all casino slots machines and nature of the games.
  • Knowledge of standards of cleanliness as prescribed by various compliance and enforcement agencies associated with the gaming industry.
  • Knowledge of the characteristics of appropriate and inappropriate greetings and interaction with guests and customers.
  • Incumbent is under the direct close supervision of the Slots Shift Supervisor.
  • The supervisor assigns work, advises on changes in procedures, if any, and is available in the immediate area for assistance when required.
  • Routine work is performed independently following set procedures.
  • The work is reviewed closely for outcome and results, and for accuracy through spot checks, through complaints from customers and staff and through personal observation of the employee at work.
  • Incumbent uses personal experience and employer standard operating procedures, in addition to handbooks, policies and precedents.
  • Guidelines include Citizen Potawatomi Nation Gaming Commission regulations and directives and job description.
  • The incumbent rarely is required to implement adaptations in dealing with problems and unusual situations.
  • Guidelines include the Systems of Internal Controls Manual.
  • The level of difficulty is routinely at low levels.
  • Incumbent will frequently be faced with routine requests and complaints are easily resolved.
  • The purpose of the work is to contribute to the generation of a profit by providing friendly, courteous, quality services to the patrons of the Slots machines at the Firelake Entertainment Center.
  • The work affects the bottom line (profit) of the Firelake Entertainment Center and subsequently the reflection upon the image of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation as a successful entrepreneur.
  • The range of contacts include ordinary local citizens who come to enjoy the amenities offered by the property, to international dignitaries in addition to those dignitaries who represent the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, and National Indian Gaming Commission.
  • The purpose of the contacts is to create a satisfied customer and contribute to the generation of a profit by providing quality services.

Responsibilities

  • Report customer complaints.
  • Report all accidents involving customers and employees.
  • Comply with all employee-training requirements.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures as prescribed by the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Gaming Commission.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all patrons.
  • Contribute to maintaining the integrity of all aspects of the casino by reporting irregularities to supervisor.
  • Contribute to an orderly and positive working environment in the Slots area.
  • Comply with all of management’s directives and the policies prescribed in the Systems of Internal Controls Manual.
  • Complete all documentation as required for assigned shift.
  • Report all suspicions of cheating by patrons and employees to supervisor.
  • Responsible for greeting customers and provide appropriate information about the casino and the casino’s promotions, specials, etc.
  • Responsible for providing assistance to customers with gaming machines.
