About The Position

Gibraltar is a manufacturer and supplier serving North American agtech, renewable energy, residential, and infrastructure markets. It is seeking a Slitter Operator to operate and monitor slitting equipment, perform production setup and quality checks, handle materials, and maintain a safe and orderly workplace. The position is full-time, located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and scheduled for first shift, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Requirements

1–2 years of slitter operator experience.
Forklift experience.
Strong mathematical ability, including working with fractions and decimals.
Ability to read and interpret charts, specifications, and production schedules.
Experience using micrometers and calipers.
Solid computer skills, specifically Oracle.
Detail-oriented nature.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe work environment.
Use micrometers and calipers to check metal gauge and roll diameters.
Use computer-controlled equipment to monitor and operate the line.
Work from drawings, work orders, specifications, instructions, and established methods and procedures.
Use material-handling equipment, including powered forklift trucks.
Set up separator blades to ensure proper fan-out of metal and eliminate rolled edges.
Interpret drawings and specifications to plan setups.
Make equipment repairs and adjustments, referring major repairs to maintenance personnel.
Detect and report faulty operation, defective material or equipment, and unusual conditions to the proper supervisor.
Maintain a neat and orderly workplace.
Complete time and production reports.
Enter production information into the system.
Perform additional responsibilities deemed necessary by leadership.
