About The Position

This job description outlines the role, responsibilities, general tasks, and functions of a Fork Truck Operator, Production/Sleeving, detailing their daily operations. The role requires a strong orientation towards safety and quality, adherence to GMPs, proper use of PPE, and good housekeeping practices. The operator must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, maintaining good communication with colleagues and leadership. Flexibility in work assignments across departments, schedules, and additional hours is necessary. The position involves managing multiple tasks and orders simultaneously, ensuring both food safety and quality of Chobani product.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Ability to work on feet for up to 12 hours.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds.
Punctual and maintain good attendance.
Fast learner.
Ability to work in refrigerated environments.

Responsibilities

Assist with end-of-line paperwork, reconciling numbers to identify variances.
Ensure continuous line operation and minimize equipment downtime.
Train and share knowledge with team members to enhance their skills.
Participate in implementing solutions and ideas within the department.
Maintain a strong focus on Safety, Quality, and Efficiencies.
Collaborate with other departments to foster a "whole team" atmosphere.
Keep work areas clean and organized following 5-S guidelines.
Enforce and observe all safety rules and regulations from Chobani and OSHA.
Operate all industrial powered vehicles efficiently and safely within the assigned area.
Maintain equipment in good working order and utilize lockout/tagout procedures for non-operational equipment.
Ensure equipment battery is maintained and changed as needed.
Perform daily inspections and checks on equipment, completing necessary paperwork.
Ensure scanner guns are charged and facilitate pass-down between shifts.
Organize and deliver cup totes to storage locations or lines as required.
Fulfill any requirements from the leadership team to ensure safe and fluent production flow.
Ensure correct materials are supplied to points of use and remove excess waste streams.
Maintain correct process flow with finished cups.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Lead, Manager, and Supervisor.
Follow Chobani’s safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
