About The Position

The Sleep Consultant is responsible for promoting and selling mattresses, working directly with customers and employees, and ensuring customer needs are met. This role involves describing merchandise, explaining its use and care, and following up on customer orders and inquiries. The consultant will also assist with merchandise-related problems in conjunction with customer service and warehouse operations, and collaborate with other departments on an organizational level. Additional duties include running the cashier till, auditing the safe, making bank deposits, and loading/unloading transfers and pickups.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Positive attitude when working with customers.
Ability to assist in loading mattresses (lift up to 50 lbs).
Advanced computer skills.
Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures.
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

Promote and sell mattresses displayed on the showroom floor.
