About The Position

PK Industrial is seeking skilled painters for work at its facility in Augusta, Kansas. The role involves applying a variety of coatings with airless and conventional sprayers while meeting the mil thickness specified for each job. The position is on second shift, Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., for 40 hours per week, with overtime possible as needed. Pay depends on experience. Requirements

Experience applying a variety of coatings with airless and conventional sprayers to meet mil specifications.
Knowledge of how to read and understand coatings product data sheets.
Ability to follow work instructions safely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Proven time-management skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to physically handle the work, including bending and lifting.

Responsibilities

Apply coatings using airless or conventional sprayers and meet the mil thickness required by the paint specification.
Mix and blend paints, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and special protective coatings to achieve specified consistency and drying properties.
Read and understand coatings product data sheets.
Read, understand, and follow work instructions safely, accurately, and on time.
Work effectively both independently and with others.
