About The Position
Fresh Coat Painters of Muskegon is looking for a Skilled Painter / Construction Technician to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of work and takes pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship. While painting will be a significant part of the role, the technician will also be comfortable performing drywall repairs, trim work, light carpentry, and other residential repair tasks that help prepare homes for painting. The company is looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys seeing a project through from start to finish.
Requirements
- Experience in residential painting
- Experience with drywall repairs and finishing
- Basic carpentry and trim installation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift ladders, equipment, and materials as needed
Nice To Haves
- Experience with cabinet painting or refinishing
- Experience operating paint sprayers
- Lead-safe work practices
- Experience working directly with homeowners
Responsibilities
- Interior and exterior painting
- Drywall repairs and patching
- Texture repairs and blending
- Trim installation and repair
- Minor carpentry and wood replacement
- Caulking, sanding, and surface preparation
- Jobsite setup and cleanup
- Perform final touch-ups and punch-list items
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
