Skilled Nursing Housekeeper
About The Position
Maintains the cleanliness of the facility for residents, visitors, and employees, taking pride and ownership in its condition to ensure a welcoming environment. The role also includes performing other assigned tasks and conducting responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards. All employees of Cascadia Healthcare must submit to and be cleared through the applicable state-specific background check requirements before having contact with patients or residents.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and facility staff.
- Knowledge of infection control techniques.
- Ability to be patient and polite.
- Submit to and clear the applicable state-specific background check requirements before contact with patients or residents.
- No license or certification required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Six months of experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms, and other facility areas.
- Safely mix and use cleaning solutions and store them in a secure area.
- Label and remove infectious waste bags and containers.
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
