About The Position

New Horizon Foods is seeking a Skilled Nursing Cook for Lakehouse Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The cook prepares meals for residents, including IDDSI diets and textures, and supports food preparation, storage, kitchen sanitation, and customer service. The position is full-time, with PM hours from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., every other weekend (EOW), and no late nights. The location is a union account. No experience is required, though cooking and kitchen-task experience is described as required elsewhere in the posting. Responsibilities

Prepare approximately 300 meals per meal service, including IDDSI diets and textures.
Prepare food and store it properly.
Help maintain health code regulations in the kitchen.
Ensure food is presented attractively and appetizingly.
Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests.
Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and dining areas.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures.
Follow menus, production records, and recipes for levels 4, 5, 6, and 7.
