About The Position

Mount Carmel Care Center is a faith-based, nonprofit, 69-bed long-term care facility in the Berkshires, sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 2013. The facility is seeking a full-time Lead Cook/Supervisor. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Institutional cooking and food service supervisory experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to interact with elderly residents and their families.

Responsibilities

Prepare meals according to the day's menus and recipes.
Supervise kitchen staff when the Dietary Director is absent.
Ensure prep work is completed, labeled, and dated.
Use the meal management system to print tickets, add new residents, and perform related tasks.
Maintain proper kitchen and equipment sanitation and ensure proper use and care of dishes, glassware, and utensils.
Close the kitchen at the end of the shift.
Interact with residents and families regarding meals.
