About The Position

Mesa Glen Care Center is seeking a Dietary Cook for its skilled nursing facility. Requirements

• Experience is desirable but not required.
• Be mentally alert.
• Accurately measure food ingredients and portions.
• Know the basic principles of quantity food cooking and equipment use.
• Maintain a clean and appropriately groomed appearance.
• Be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, quality customer service to residents, families, coworkers, and vendors.
• Pre-assemble resident trays and carts as directed.
• Assist with food preparation and serve residents at tables in skilled dining.
• Attend menu conferences and plan food quantities to meet residents’ serving needs.
• Clean and wash small equipment.
• Supervise dietary aides, the relief cook, and the afternoon cook.
• Keep the dining room clean and transport dishes, trash, and other items to the appropriate area.
• Restock all areas.
• Attend mandatory in-service meetings.
