About The Position
Fay, S&B USA Construction builds complex infrastructure throughout the Mid-Atlantic, including major bridges, tunnels, highways, and P3 programs. The Skilled Laborer supports heavy civil construction work in Norfolk, Virginia. Duties include implementing erosion and sediment control measures, preparing and cleaning sites, assisting with excavation and material handling, signaling equipment operators, helping other craft workers, and flagging truck movements. The role requires three years of heavy construction laborer experience and the ability to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain erosion and sediment control measures on construction sites prone to erosion.
- Clean and prepare sites; use a jackhammer; possibly dig trenches; support excavations; and clean up rubble, debris, and waste materials.
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate the alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
- Load and unload machinery, tools, and materials, and distribute them to appropriate locations according to project plans or specifications.
- Assist other craft workers.
- Flag truck movements at sites.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
