About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced automotive mechanic for its inspection center in Framingham, Massachusetts. The technician performs automotive repairs and diagnostics across vehicle makes and models, from light maintenance to complex repairs and heavy engine work. The role includes diagnosing and repairing advanced electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as work on wheel bearings, axles, and vehicle climate-control systems. The position offers two possible schedules: Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., or Monday through Thursday, 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Technicians work with state-of-the-art tools in a high-tech inspection center. Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments or equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Passing a complete background check is a condition of hiring.

Responsibilities

Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate-control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores.
Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
