About The Position

The Ski/Snowboard School Administrative Assistant is responsible for communicating with guests to explain lesson products and selling all Ski/Snowboard School products through the Reservation system and Guest Services. This role also involves assisting with instructor schedules, payroll, and updating administrative boards. The position requires a strong focus on guest service and operational efficiency within the Ski/Snowboard School Team.

Requirements

  • Administration and Management Background
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Willingness to continually learn and update knowledge of skiing/snowboarding and instruction through PSIA/AASI organization.
  • Knowledgeable of all Ski/Snowboard School Products, Rental and lift products.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Must be aware of the ski areas terrain and facilities.
  • Must follow a professional overall appearance, be neatly groomed setting an example of the dress code standards of the Ski/Snowboard School and maintain ski/snowboard equipment in good condition.
  • Must follow all Safety and Risk guidelines provided in the Dodge Ridge Employee Handbook.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Excel and email systems.
  • Willingness to work during extreme weather conditions.
  • Good physical conditioning, including flexibility, strength, and endurance.
  • Heavy and awkward lifting up to 50lbs
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the Motor Vehicle Record qualifications as outlined in the Fleet Safety Program.

  • Walking on the snow at times will be required within the base area.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with guests to explain lesson products and selling all Ski/Snowboard School products.
  • Assisting with identifying appropriate class levels for instructors and updating instructor schedules.
  • Assisting with administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, and updating boards.
  • Operating the department in line with departmental standards, guidelines, objectives, and operations.
  • Working with the Manager for weekly and monthly expenses to adhere to the Ski/Snowboard School budget plan.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the guest-focused culture.
  • Assisting in maintaining schedules of all Ski/Snowboard School employees and ensuring compliance with departmental objectives.
  • Assisting in accurate scheduling for all Instructor Staff and Supervisors.
  • Monitoring and ensuring staff levels are accurate to meet reservation and lesson sales.
  • Demonstrating an ongoing commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Assisting with motivating and evaluating staff to ensure adequate guidance and resources.
  • Supporting the Ski/Snowboard School Director, Manager, and Supervisors to schedule adequate staff.
  • Assisting the Ski/Snowboard School Manager to maintain detailed, organized, and accurate scheduling and payroll.
  • Assisting the Ski/Snowboard School Manager in scheduling instructors to daily lesson assignments and completing required daily documentation.
  • Assisting in tracking instructor hours and producing accurate payroll.
  • Assisting with check-in for lessons during weekends and holidays.
  • Maintaining records of instructor training with Supervisors and Trainers.
  • Managing the department risk management program and keeping all risk documentation up to date.
  • Tracking all safety topics and coordinating safety meetings.
