About The Position

This is a Winter Seasonal, Full-Time position within the Mountain Sports School Sales department at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The Ski School Sales Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the profitable and professional operations of all Mountain Sports School Sales outlets. This role involves increasing revenue through active promotion and cross-selling of JHMR and JHRL products, understanding diverse guest dynamics to deliver exceptional guest service, and managing staff performance. The supervisor will work with managers to control fluctuating staff levels, support and develop sales and reservations staff through training and communication, and assist in the development of training programs. They will also facilitate communication flow, assist staff in resolving guest issues, and support the use of operational systems. A thorough knowledge of MSS and JHMR products and operational procedures is essential. Daily operational functions include opening and closing procedures, auditing sales reports, and performing sales and reservations jobs as needed. The role also involves participating in morning meetings, managing radio communication, ensuring security in sales operations, and overseeing auditing, cash handling, and credit card procedures. Additionally, the supervisor will help oversee daily front-line sales operations at various locations, allocate daily work assignments, maintain communication with on-snow supervisors, and train and manage front-line sales and reservations staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Two years of business or sales experience, preferably in Ski & Snowboard School Industry.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure profitable and professional operations of all Mountain Sports School Sales outlets.
  • Increase revenue through actively promoting and cross selling JHMR and JHRL products.
  • Deliver the highest possible level of guest service to all guests, both internal and external.
  • Embrace JHMR initiatives, be active in defining and achieving departmental goals and initiatives.
  • Actively manage staff performance including all training, spontaneous daily evaluations and mid and end of season reviews.
  • Work with Managers to understand and control fluctuating staff levels in accordance with business volume projections.
  • Oversee performance management of sales and reservations staff including training, evaluations, and reviews.
  • Support, empower, and develop sales and reservations staff through continual training and communication.
  • Assist Managers with development of pre-season and in-season training program with a focus on department specific operations.
  • Assist in communication flow to and from sales staff including daily staff meetings, special MSS information, and JHMR communications.
  • Assist sales and reservations staff with resolving guest issues at the first point of contact.
  • Support sales and reservations staff in the use of SnowCloud, MSS operations, and JHMR operations.
  • Aid in basic troubleshooting to ensure efficient operations.
  • Perform daily operational functions of sales outlets including opening and closing procedures of all MSS Sales outlets including auditing daily sales reports.
  • Perform the functions of sales, and reservations jobs as needed.
  • Participate in morning meetings and maintain communications with other JHMR and JHRL departments.
  • Manage radio communication between sales locations and on-snow supervisors to adapt to dynamic sales scenarios and accommodate guest needs.
  • Ensure security in all MSS Sales operations. Supervise auditing, cash handling, over / short, instructor tips, and credit card numbers.
  • Help oversee all daily front line sales operations at the Bridger Center, Kids Ranch and Mid Station including adult class lessons, kids ranch products, lift tickets, adult local programs, C-V and CES programs and daily opening and closing procedures.
  • Allocate daily work assignments at front line sales locations with a focus on maximizing efficiency by having staff work multiple locations each day.
  • Maintain constant communication with MSS sales and MSS on snow supervisors regarding availability, late arrivals, class lesson inventories, and special needs.
  • Train and manage all front-line sales and reservations staff on MSS products, reservations, front line sales operations and guest service.
  • Responsible for performance management of all front-line sales and reservations staff including training, evaluations, and reviews.
  • Oversee cross training operations between MSS Sales and Ticketing departments.
