About The Position

Modea is seeking a talented, motivated Software Engineer with a Sitecore Developer Certification to join their growing team. As a Software Engineer, the role focuses on using the latest software stacks and cloud technologies to design, implement, test, and continuously deliver new features and products with enterprise-scale Content Management Systems (CMS). Modea operates as digital consultants, and their software engineers adopt this mentality. They tackle client projects in cross-functional teams comprising software engineers, UX designers, project managers, strategists, and analysts, working closely with each other and the client to architect and build consumer-grade experiences. The company is looking for someone passionate about solving problems with technology, ready to build great software, and possessing a strong understanding of software engineering principles and what it takes to deliver high-quality software. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

  • Professional software engineering experience
  • Sitecore Developer Certification
  • Great listening and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Natural curiosity and love for problem-solving
  • Consultant mentality in approaching problems
  • Passion for software development, including staying updated on blogs, authors, development communities, and latest technology
  • Mentality of continuous improvement in individual work and as a team member

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the broader ecosystem and experience with headless CMS architectures
  • Proven experience using Next.js and GraphQL to build performant, data-driven applications

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, and continuously deliver new features and products with enterprise scale Content Management Systems (CMS) using the latest software stacks and cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams (software engineers, UX designers, project managers, strategists, and analysts) on client projects.
  • Work closely with team members and clients to architect and build consumer-grade experiences.
  • Apply expertise in enterprise-scale CMS platforms such as Drupal, WordPress, Sitecore, or Optimizely, covering content modeling, theming, custom module development, configuration management, search API, and migrate API.
  • Perform efficient front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and client-side frameworks like React and Angular.
  • Operate in multiple environments (local, QA, UAT, production) and with various hosts (on prem, Patheon, Acquia).
  • Integrate with multiple source code hosts (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, MS DevOps) and utilize various pipeline systems.
  • Champion and adhere to software engineering best practices throughout the development and delivery process.
