About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator/Foreman to run a small crew and operate heavy equipment. The position involves grading, excavating, loading, hauling, trenching, driving metal posts, and moving dirt to complete various earthwork projects. Requirements

At least 3 years of relevant heavy equipment operating experience.
Ability to efficiently operate mini excavators and bobcats.
Experience operating full-sized excavators, loaders, and dozers.
Reliable transportation.
Current and valid driver's license.
Physical fitness to perform manual labor in varied environments and conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit and stand regularly; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and verbally communicate and listen.
Ability to walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Operate excavators, mini excavators, and bobcats, and manage a small crew daily.
Install erosion control measures, including silt fence and super silt fence.
Excavate for and build bioretention facilities, rain gardens, ponds, sediment basins, and other stormwater management facilities/BMPs.
Muck out and re-grade ponds.
Shoot grades for stakeout and read and interpret cut sheets.
Fine grade.
Install underdrain on roadway projects.
Complete other grading and excavation work requested by clients.
Communicate directly with clients and manage crew members.
