About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Site Support Technical Intern for an entry-level internship that provides real-world workplace experience and an opportunity to explore an IT organization, including technical and support functions. The intern will work onsite at SAIC’s Reston, Virginia office, staffing a walk-up center with other interns to support onsite customers. The intern will provide technical support on assignments using established procedures and guidance from an assigned technical mentor. Mentors will set the specific day-to-day duties and responsibilities. The internship is available year-round and is expected to require 20–27 hours per week. Interns can develop communication, personal effectiveness, presentation, creative problem-solving, and influencing skills while applying classroom fundamentals, concepts, and procedures in a workforce setting.

Requirements

• High school education and at least one year of college coursework in a technical field.
• Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or a related IT discipline.
• Anticipated graduation date of Spring 2028 or later.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Task- and customer-oriented.
• Demonstrated initiative and self-starting ability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with flexibility and a positive attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to cooperate with a team.

Nice To Haves

• CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification(s).
• MAC experience.
