About The Position

Security Engineers, a provider of contract security services, is seeking a Site Supervisor to work in a team environment in the private security industry. The position is based on-site during scheduled hours and oversees security operations across multiple locations. The supervisor reports to the Project Manager and works with the Major Project Manager and Assistant Manager, providing updates and reports as required. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at $23.50 per hour. The supervisor must also be reachable 24/7 and be willing and flexible to cover staffing shortages or emergency call-offs outside scheduled hours, including nights and weekends. Travel to multiple locations is required for inspections, walkthroughs, and meetings. Employment is contingent on satisfactory completion of a post-offer background investigation and drug screen. A criminal background check may be required by law for this safety-sensitive, licensed private security operation. The employer offers paid training at the state minimum wage where allowed by state law.

Requirements

Previous security experience; the posting lists 3+ years of verifiable security experience with supervisory experience for priority hiring.
High school diploma or equivalent, or suitable equivalent.
Ability to verify and explain all gaps in employment.
No termination from previous employment for other than honorable circumstances.
A telephone or other reliable means of communication.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong computer skills.
Customer service skills.
Ability to obtain all required security certifications and licenses.
Ability to perform lengthy foot patrols across varying terrain.
Ability to stand for long periods without assistance.
Ability to step up and down from trucks to perform inspections.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors.

Previous military or law enforcement experience is listed for priority hiring.
Previous security experience of 3+ years is preferred.
Previous team leader or supervisor skills are preferred.
Experience with Winteam software is preferred.

Responsibilities

Report to the Major Project Manager and Assistant Manager and provide updates and reports as required.
Be reachable 24/7 and work on-site during scheduled hours.
Cover open positions during short staffing or emergency call-offs outside scheduled hours, including nights and weekends.
Administer guard management software across all locations.
Manage employee scheduling for multiple sites.
Attend routine meetings with the client, supervisors, and subordinates.
Maintain security post instructions and other required records.
Deliver training where applicable.
Ensure security and safety equipment is in good working condition.
Travel to multiple locations for inspections, walkthroughs, and meetings.
Conduct interviews and hire employees.
Ensure assigned employees follow policies and procedures and provide corrective action where appropriate, including On the Spot, PMRs, and PIPs.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
