About The Position

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a full-time Supervisor of Distribution II to support a department at its distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas. The role is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Supervisor of Distribution II coordinates operational responsibilities across the distribution center to provide service to retail stores. The position contributes to company profitability by maximizing productivity, efficiency, and quality. It also makes workflow decisions in the absence of a manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in distribution center management.

• Experience with distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and respond to production volume and staffing needs to maximize productivity and ensure quality.
• Train, develop, and supervise non-exempt associates.
• Promote and maintain associate morale and safety.
• Coach and counsel associates regarding performance and attendance issues.
• Maintain established throughput standards.
• Meet budget goals and productivity standards.
• Develop and implement methods and procedures to improve operational efficiency and safety.
• Maintain the security of merchandise and capital equipment in assigned departments.
• Assign special projects related to the business or operations to expand knowledge of the facility or company.
