SITE SUPERVISOR WIC PROGRAM
About The Position
Montefiore Medical Group is seeking a Site Supervisor for its Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program. The supervisor oversees daily operations at the WIC site, manages staff schedules, ensures compliance with program requirements, and provides leadership and support to staff. The role works with program administrators to optimize service delivery and client satisfaction, helping promote maternal and child health. The position is 100% grant funded and is based in The Bronx, New York. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with 7.5 scheduled hours per day. The position reports directly to the WIC Program Coordinator/Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the WIC site in accordance with policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and guidelines established by the USDA, NYSDOH, and Montefiore.
- Supervise WIC staff at the agency's site.
- Apply USDA, NYSDOH, and Montefiore Medical Group rules and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and patient-safety requirements under federal HIPAA regulations, USDA, NYSDOH, and Montefiore Medical Group.
- Ensure site staff follow safety, health code, and dress code rules and regulations.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality improvement at the WIC site.
- Adhere to the WIC Program Local Agency Compliance and Self-Assessment required by NYSDOH.
- Implement, supervise, and update site staff on policies, procedures, goals, objectives, and services as needed.
- Supervise training and education for newly hired WIC staff.
- Complete at least 24 hours of continuing education every three years.
