About The Position
Dentsply Sirona is seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer II to join their global team. This role will focus on managing system availability, automating operational tasks, and enhancing service reliability to ensure optimal performance. The team provides 24/7 emergency and second- and third-level support, aiming to restore services quickly during downtime. The position requires working from the Waltham, MA office multiple days a week.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, IT or a related field
- 2-4 years of work experience in a Site Reliability Engineering/ Platform Engineering/ DevOps role or similar
- Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Monitoring and observability (Datadog, Grafana)
- CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions, Flux, ArgoCD)
- Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Cloud architecture (GCP, AWS)
- Incident management
- Troubleshooting
- Programming language proficiency (Go, C++, Python)
- Fluent in English
Nice To Haves
- knowledge of German is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Develop automation scripts to reduce manual intervention in operations.
- Implement monitoring and alerting strategies for infrastructure and applications.
- Participate in incident response and post-mortem analyses.
- Work with development teams to design resilient systems and implement SRE best practices.
- Handle infrastructure reliability tasks and small-scale automation efforts independently.
- Work with development and operations teams to improve service availability.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in reliability engineering.
Benefits
- The base salary for this role located in Massachusetts is between $115,000 - $130,000.
