About The Position

Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Kubernetes Platform to support a mission-critical application modernization initiative for a Department of War (DoW) customer. This program will modernize how users access and interact with a portfolio of production applications by introducing a unified sign-on experience, a shared work surface, and a repeatable approach to onboarding applications to a common platform. As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Kubernetes Platform, you will focus on the reliability, availability, and operational performance of the Kubernetes-based platform while supporting the continued operation of existing applications. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact federal modernization initiative while collaborating with DevSecOps and application sustainment teams.

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or platform operations supporting Kubernetes workloads.
Experience with observability tools and practices.
Experience with incident management and operational troubleshooting.
Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and operations teams in a mission-critical environment.
U.S. citizenship required.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AWS GovCloud.
Familiarity with Envoy and OpenTelemetry.
Active Secret security clearance or higher is strongly preferred and may allow an earlier start.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain the platform's Kubernetes environment to support application availability, stability, and performance.
Manage platform observability and release automation capabilities.
Own platform availability and recovery evidence to support operational readiness and accountability.
Support incident management, troubleshooting, and service recovery activities.
Partner with DevSecOps engineers on infrastructure as code (IaC) practices and platform automation.
Collaborate with sustainment SRE team members to develop and maintain shared operational runbooks.
