Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
About The Position
Genesis10 is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a 12-month contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Pennington, NJ. This role is part of a Site Reliability Engineering team responsible for the reliability and operational health of a large-scale trading platform. The ideal candidate will work hands-on across the technology stack to enhance platform and application observability, drive reliability improvements, and achieve measurable gains in operational efficiency. This position is crucial for maintaining execution velocity, reducing operational risk, and ensuring the platform meets its reliability and performance objectives.
Requirements
- Strong Python development experience
- Deep Linux administration and troubleshooting experience
- Infrastructure engineering and automation background
- Experience with Ansible
- Observability and monitoring experience (Dynatrace preferred)
- Experience working in large-scale production environments
Nice To Haves
- Azure and/or AWS Cloud experience (AKS / EKS experience strongly preferred)
- SRE, Reliability Engineering, and DevOps practices
- Infrastructure-as-Code and automation frameworks
- Financial Services / Trading Platform experience
- Experience with Splunk and Grafana
- Anyscale / Ray experience
Responsibilities
- Actively monitor and support core infrastructure and components
- Execute automation initiatives, build and enhance internal tools
- Resolve infrastructure issues and lead incident response to keep the platform running at scale
- Work closely with core teams on platform modernization, cloud migration, and hardening production systems
- Improve platform and application observability and evolve support tooling
