Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
About The Position
Genesis10 is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a 12-month contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Pennington, NJ. The SRE will be part of a team responsible for the reliability and operational health of a large-scale platform. This role requires hands-on work across the technology stack to enhance platform observability, implement reliability improvements, and achieve measurable gains in operational efficiency. The position involves close collaboration with core teams to advance platform modernization, facilitate cloud migration, strengthen production systems, and refine support tooling.
Requirements
- Strong Python development experience
- Deep Linux administration and troubleshooting experience
- Background in infrastructure engineering and automation
- Experience with Ansible
- Experience working in large-scale production environments
- Knowledge of SRE, Reliability Engineering, and DevOps practices
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation frameworks
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Financial Services or with Trading Platforms
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS Cloud
- Observability and monitoring experience (Dynatrace preferred)
- Strongly preferred experience with AKS / EKS
- Experience with Splunk and Grafana
- Anyscale / Ray experience
Responsibilities
- Actively monitor and support core infrastructure and components
- Execute automation initiatives to improve platform reliability and performance
- Build and enhance internal tools for operational efficiency
- Resolve complex infrastructure issues and lead incident response
- Improve platform and application observability and drive reliability improvements
- Collaborate with core teams on platform modernization, cloud migration, and system hardening
