About The Position

Andritz Canada – Hydro Division is offering a fall internship within its field engineering teams for hydroelectric projects, including projects of small, medium, and high complexity. This internship will allow you to apply your academic knowledge within a leading company in the hydroelectric field. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative and complex projects, collaborating with seasoned experts. The practical and on the field experience gained during the internship will contribute to the development of your mechanical design skills and understanding of engineering processes.

Requirements

Student enrolled in bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
Passion for Quality and integrity
General knowledge on mechanical measurement devices
Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Effective communication skills (oral and written)
Self-driven, resourceful, rigorous
Ability to analyze data
Willingness to travel and flexible with work schedule
Legal status to work in Canada is required

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of AutoCAD an asset
Practical knowledge of 3D measuring equipment, an asset
On site Safety training an asset

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain Andritz Quality Assurance System on site
Ensure quality requirements are followed at site according to Installation Manuals
Local contact with customer and authorities for all quality matters
Inspections follow-up according to Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)
Reception of material at site with inventory database and tracking system
Perform and/or witness inspections in coordination with customer and site team
Initiate and follow-up on non-conformities
Collect quality records and elaborate final quality documentation
Collaborate with Installation Supervisors to ensure work is performed in compliance with Installation Manuals requirements
Contribute to overall quality and excellence in execution of Engineered Machinery projects
