About The Position

We are a logistics company that focuses on the repair, refurbishment, and re-manufacturing of pallets. As a Site Manager, you will direct manufacturing operations through a team of front-line supervisors and lead employees to ensure efficient use of resources with manpower, materials, and equipment. Provides direction, development, and leadership to all facility employees either directly or indirectly through supervisors and lead personnel.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or 6 - 10 years' experience working as a Production Manager or other similar position
Significant experience in production management and reporting on key production metrics
Excellent knowledge of quality standards and health and safety regulations
Good knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
Good practical experience with MS Office
Strong decision-making, organizational, and leadership skills
Strong communication skills with close attention to detail
Results-driven approach and good business-oriented thinking

Responsibilities

Responsible for the financial management of the P&L for the facility.
Effectively lead the workforce, instilling motivation and communicating effectively to achieve maximum results.
Reviews costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance the profitable operation of the facility.
Ensures compliance with product quality standards and safety regulations.
Acts as a local liaison with customer relationships, conferring with customers and representatives.
The Site Manager must be skilled in root cause analysis and identify opportunities for improvement in the plant and in the office management.
Suggests solutions and encourage a culture of problem-solving in the plant.
Control and minimize labor overtime and repair expenses.
Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, and disciplining subordinates.
Implement and document an appropriate performance evaluation for recommending promotions, wage increases, and terminations.
Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or adjust plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
Coordinate activities through planning with department managers to ensure company objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Implement an appropriate performance evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases, and terminations.
Provide guidance to the development of pallet repair and sortation process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
Review production and operating reports and direct the resolution of operational, pallet repair and sortation, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives and maintain vendor relationships.
