Site Manager – Major Industrial Projects Are you ready to take the helm of large-scale industrial projects and make a lasting impact? As Site Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind all construction activities on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and excellence in execution. This is a leadership role where your expertise will shape the success of complex, multidisciplinary projects in collaboration with the Project Manager and a world-class team. You’ll represent Hatch on-site, building strong relationships with clients, local authorities, contractors, and partners—while leading a high-performing team in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • A degree in engineering or equivalent experience, with 15–20 years in managing large-scale industrial construction projects.
  • Proven leadership in remote or challenging environments, with a strong focus on health, safety, and environment.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in planning, organization, and contract management, with sharp business acumen.
  • Ability to build trust with clients and communities and manage industrial relations effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) processes and project interfaces.
  • Mobility to work at remote sites on a rotation basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Postgraduate studies in project or construction management are an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all on-site functions, including health & safety, quality assurance, construction supervision, field engineering, project controls, contract administration, and materials management.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, facilities, and services to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and foster trust with local communities.
  • Guarantee adherence to all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Set the tone for a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Chair contractor kick-offs, progress reviews, and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders.
  • Build and mentor a capable site team, ensuring performance and accountability.
