About The Position

Tessera is seeking a committed and expert Site Manager with a professional attitude. This role leads the site team, including subcontractors, to deliver outstanding customer results both functionally and contractually. The Site Manager serves as the central point of contact (POC) with the customer for performance of all work under the contract, leading customer engagement and communications. They leverage the full team, including frontline supervisors, shop leads, QC, subcontractors, and site leadership, to maintain performance excellence and solve tough problems in partnership with the customer. The role involves continuously gathering input from customer stakeholders for improvement and understanding their needs, culture, and mission. A key aspect is fully supporting Tessera’s mission of Providing Opportunities to People with Disabilities by actively partnering with Tessera’s recruiters, vocational specialists, HR Partners, and Workforce Development teams to attract, retain, and develop a diverse employee workforce. The position drives a world-class safety management system and safety culture through leadership engagement, safety risk management, safety assurance, and safety training and promotion, modeling positive safety leadership behaviors. The Site Manager oversees assessment, synthesizes technical field findings, reconciles data discrepancies, and cross-references operational logs with real property data. They conduct peer reviews and data validation within the BUILDER Remote Entry Database (BRED) and BUILDER SMS to guarantee 100% calibration, technical accuracy, and uniformity in asset ratings. This role performs high-level visual and diagnostic inspections of complex, mission-critical infrastructure using ASTM UNIFORMAT II standards, and reviews and approves documented hazards and deferred maintenance logs, assisting in converting field findings into defensible capital planning budget estimates. Through site leads and Tessera’s Reliability Asset Management (RAM) team, the Site Manager tailors digital platforms to optimize data quality and usability for the customer, with primary components including Maximo (or customer CMMS option), technician mobility, business intelligence (BI), customer integration, and supply chain management. They lead the site reliability program to extend asset life and reduce breakdowns, leveraging the entire team to drive an asset ownership culture, expand/improve planned maintenance, leverage predictive tools, and enable key processes such as root cause analysis and preventative maintenance (PM) optimization. The position requires strategic vision for the site, the contract, and meeting the future needs of the customer, with the ability to convert this strategy into action through disciplined planning and project management. A focus on continual process improvement, "balanced excellence" of site performance metrics, and combatting operational complacency is essential. The Site Manager is responsible for the success of all missions assigned, including planning, profitability, resource leveling, production, status reporting, and coordination with employees, customers, Contracting Officers Representative (COR), and outside agencies. They establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of company policy and contract Performance Work Statement (PWS). Accountable for coordinating work schedules, day-to-day tasking, and operational guidance to ensure the mission is accomplished on time, within budget, and according to established quality, security, safety, and environmental standards. This role facilitates, manages, and supports all internal and external reporting requirements, formulating reports (Workday, Excel, Power BI, AI) concerning work progress, cost control, waste reduction, and scheduling. They facilitate problem resolution through timely improvements and good working relationships, and control and track property including materials, equipment, and supplies used for the contract. Travel to Home Office conferences, flagship sites, and outlying contract sites is required as needed. The Site Manager ensures professionalism in both appearance and demeanor through the Tessera workforce, is responsible for updating and implementing the site’s safety, quality, awards, and training programs, and assures that ISO 9001 processes are developed, providing actionable data, and are incorporated into daily business processes. They ensure all quality benchmarks are met, develop yearly budget requirements based on an assessment of contract requirements, determine capital and expense requirements, establish cash flow requirements, and determine P&L input for planning cycles. The role models and continuously promotes Tessera’s core values of integrity, inclusion, and partnership in service to its purpose, community impacts, and humanitarianism. Requirements

  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
