About The Position

The Site Manager / Safety & Quality Control Manager serves as the primary onsite point of contact responsible for overall management, supervision, safety compliance, quality control, scheduling, and operational performance for a secure federal facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) program supporting a mission-critical federal engineering campus in Northern Virginia. This position oversees daily operations involving HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, generators, UPS systems, plumbing, BAS/DDC controls, locksmithing, carpentry, fire alarm systems, preventive maintenance, emergency response, and service call management across multiple secure facilities. The Site Manager is responsible for ensuring contract compliance, maintaining operational readiness, supporting continuity of operations, and ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable federal, state, Army, and industry standards. The Site Manager manages onsite personnel and subcontractors, coordinates directly with Government representatives, oversees CMMS work management activities utilizing Maximo/FEM systems, and ensures timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance requirements within a secure TS/SCI environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing commercial, institutional, industrial, or federal facilities O&M or construction operations.
  • Experience managing mission-critical building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems, BAS/DDC controls, and life safety systems.
  • Experience supervising preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, emergency response, and service call operations in a performance-based environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards, EM 385-1-1, quality control procedures, and federal safety compliance requirements.
  • Experience administering Quality Control Plans (QCP), safety programs, and operational reporting requirements.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS platforms such as Maximo for scheduling, asset management, work order tracking, reporting, and preventive maintenance oversight.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, and onsite technical personnel in a secure federal facilities environment.
  • Experience supporting facilities requiring strict operational continuity, security compliance, and emergency response readiness.
  • Ability to coordinate utility outages, operational disruptions, and maintenance activities with Government stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, operating manuals, and maintenance standards.
  • Fully conversant in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • One or more of the following required: Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) for Contractors, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), NFPA 70E Training Certification.
