About The Position

The Site General Manager oversees the daily operations, profitability, and overall success of a truck stop facility. This hands-on leadership role manages staff, supports excellent customer service, maintains inventory, optimizes fuel and retail sales, and ensures compliance with safety and operational standards. The position operates in a fast-paced environment and requires multitasking and problem-solving. The role covers fuel sales, retail, convenience store, restaurant, and other on-site services. The General Manager leads employees and works to keep the facility clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in management in retail, travel stop or convenience store, big box, grocery, or department store settings.
At least 3 years managing operations with annual sales volume of $2 million or more.
At least 3 years affecting and deciphering budgets and profit-and-loss statements.
At least 3 years supervising and training 5–10 or more employees.
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check; additional screening may include a motor vehicle check and/or DOT physical.
Ability to navigate various computer programs, systems, and technology tools as part of daily operations.
Ability to talk, hear, move around, lift up to 50 pounds, and see clearly to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of fuel sales, retail, convenience store, restaurant, and other on-site services.
Drive revenue growth through strategic marketing, promotions, and customer service.
Hire, train, and supervise employees, including cashiers, maintenance staff, and restaurant personnel.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding fuel, food service, and employment.
Implement and enforce company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
