Site Expert - Blackout Dallas (Dallas Stars)
About The Position
FanSided is looking to add a new Site Expert to join their team at Blackout Dallas, a site dedicated to the Dallas Stars. Site experts are asked to focus their efforts on building a vibrant community environment around the Stars while providing readers with fresh daily content. The goal is for site experts to be viewed as the most knowledgeable on their respective fandom and to offer readers a healthy mix of news and opinionated analysis, providing content that cannot be found elsewhere. FanSided offers advice and support, but the site expert will decide how to strategize their content efforts. Site Experts are compensated based on a combination of the total traffic accrued by their articles and the overall traffic of the site each calendar month. Rates may vary depending on traffic, the experience of the expert, and the site itself.
Requirements
- Ability to build a vibrant community environment.
- Ability to provide fresh daily content.
- Viewed as knowledgeable on their respective fandom.
- Offer a healthy mix of news and opinionated analysis.
- Provide content viewers can't read elsewhere.
- Ability to strategize content efforts.
- Publish a minimum of 50 total articles each calendar month.
- Personally write a minimum of 20 articles each month (most write 25-30).
- Edit articles from contributors.
- Offer feedback to contributors.
- Suggest topic ideas to contributors.
- Help with the site’s social media accounts (typically Twitter and Facebook).
- Share articles on social media.
- Creatively engage with other fans on social media.
Responsibilities
- Lead a site that publishes a minimum of 50 total articles each calendar month.
- Personally write a minimum of 20 articles each month, with most writing between 25-30.
- Support the contributors on their team by editing their articles, offering feedback as needed, and suggesting topic ideas.
- Help with the site’s social media accounts (typically Twitter and Facebook) by sharing articles and creatively engaging with other fans.
