About The Position

FanSided is looking to add a new Site Expert to join their team at Undead Walking, a site dedicated to The Walking Dead universe. Site experts are asked to focus their efforts on building a vibrant community environment around The Walking Dead while providing readers with fresh daily content. The goal is for site experts to be viewed as the most knowledgeable on their respective fandom and to ensure a healthy mix of news and opinionated analysis, offering content readers can't find elsewhere. While FanSided offers advice and support, the site expert will strategize content efforts. Site Experts are compensated based on a combination of the total traffic accrued by their articles and the overall traffic of the site each calendar month. Compensation rates may vary depending on traffic, the experience of the expert, and the site itself.

Requirements

Ability to lead a site that publishes multiple pieces of daily content.
Willingness to produce the majority of the posting requirements.
Ability to support contributors by editing articles, offering feedback, and suggesting topics.
Willingness to help with the site’s social media accounts.
Must be viewed as the most knowledgeable on The Walking Dead fandom.
Ability to provide a healthy mix of news and opinionated analysis.
Ability to provide content that readers cannot read elsewhere.

Responsibilities

Lead a site that publishes multiple pieces of daily content, including news stories, analysis pieces, and viral discussions.
Produce the majority of the posting requirements for the site.
Support contributing writers by editing their articles, offering feedback, and suggesting topic ideas.
Assist with the site’s social media accounts (typically Twitter and Facebook) by sharing articles and engaging with fans.
