About The Position

Cairn Homes is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join its team in Charlestown, North Dublin. The role provides civil engineering services under the direction of the Project Manager/Site Manager and works directly with the site team and subcontractors to help ensure the development is built as agreed. The successful candidate will be a motivated team player with commercial acumen who contributes to project delivery.

Requirements

Minimum of 2–3 years' work experience.
Level 8 Engineering qualification.
Ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
Good spoken and written communication skills.
Methodical approach, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels and as part of a team.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects at the same time.
Willingness to accept responsibility for completing designated tasks.

Nice To Haves

Reinforced concrete frame experience, preferably with a residential and/or contracting background.

Responsibilities

Monitor and evaluate quality control of subcontractor work.
Coordinate site drawings.
Set out gridlines and levels for subcontractors, including groundwork and reinforced concrete frame work.
Set out foundations, floor slabs, block laying, services, and civil works.
Set out house plots on housing projects and issue surveys to solicitors.
Supervise and monitor groundworks and civil engineering contractors.
Supervise and monitor concrete frame contractors.
Build strong relationships with subcontractors to deliver work on time, within budget, and to the required quality and detail.
Maintain site records and quality assurance documentation.
