About The Position

The Site EHS Representative will provide boots-on-the-ground safety support, conduct field observations and inspections, and work directly with project leadership and craft personnel to maintain compliance and strengthen the project's safety culture. This role supports the new construction of the Maryland Supreme Court and is with a company that regularly performs federal, military, commercial, and data center construction projects throughout the region. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, field-focused safety professional who enjoys spending the majority of their time supporting active construction operations rather than working strictly behind a desk. Success in this role requires building positive relationships with crews and supervision, proactively identifying hazards, effectively communicating safety expectations, and helping project teams safely execute work while maintaining productivity and compliance.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • EM385 Certification
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
  • Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of EM385 Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Commercial Construction Safety
  • Working knowledge of Drywall Construction Operations
  • Working knowledge of Federal Construction Safety Programs
  • Working knowledge of Hazard Recognition & Risk Mitigation
  • Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work
  • Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
  • Working knowledge of Safety Audits & Compliance Inspections
  • Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong field presence throughout active work areas
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and project-specific safety requirements
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions
  • Conduct and support safety training activities
  • Reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel and supervision
  • Review work activities and monitor compliance with safety procedures
  • Coordinate safety activities with project management and field leadership
  • Assist with incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
  • Support implementation and enforcement of company safety policies
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
