About The Position

The Site EHS Representative will provide boots-on-the-ground safety support, conduct field observations and inspections, and work directly with project leadership and craft personnel to maintain compliance and strengthen the project's safety culture. This role is a Direct Hire W2 position with an initial project duration of approximately 2 years, offering a long-term opportunity with continued project assignments following completion of the current project. The opportunity is with a contractor supporting the new construction of the Maryland Supreme Court, and the company regularly performs federal, military, commercial, and data center construction projects throughout the region.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • EM385 Certification
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
  • Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of EM385 Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Commercial Construction Safety
  • Working knowledge of Drywall Construction Operations
  • Working knowledge of Federal Construction Safety Programs
  • Working knowledge of Hazard Recognition & Risk Mitigation
  • Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work
  • Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
  • Working knowledge of Safety Audits & Compliance Inspections
  • Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong field presence throughout active work areas
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and project-specific safety requirements
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions
  • Conduct and support safety training activities
  • Reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel and supervision
  • Review work activities and monitor compliance with safety procedures
  • Coordinate safety activities with project management and field leadership
  • Assist with incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
  • Support implementation and enforcement of company safety policies
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
