Requirements

BS degree in Civil Engineering.
0-2 years of design experience related to site development projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Ability to work effectively in teams on different tasks and meet project deadlines.
Ability to work in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to compose technical reports, permit documents, memorandums, and other written communication.
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Must be able to work independently and be technologically savvy.
Must remain client focused.

Nice To Haves

EIT preferred.
Civil3D preferable.

Responsibilities

Site/civil development, including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, sanitary sewer design, water design, water reuse design, and erosion and sediment control design for various clients.
Prepare associated drawing packages, deliverables, calculations, reports, and spreadsheets under the guidance of a Professional Engineer.
Collaborate with other disciplines within design teams to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
Perform diverse and fast-paced work, including general civil engineering duties and technical tasks.
Utilize and become proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D, ICPR, VADOT, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and BlueBeam.
Learn and become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices, standards, and specific software programs.
