Entry-level Civil Engineer
About The Position
Ayres is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to contribute to community-enhancing projects in public infrastructure, environmental improvements, and site development. The position supports project managers in designing and administering municipal and civil engineering projects, including water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, street and roadway improvements, and site development for public and private spaces. The engineer will collect and analyze data, contribute to project reports, and engage with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions. The role is supported by a national team and will help grow Ayres in North Carolina.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a municipal, environmental, or transportation emphasis.
- 1–5 years of engineering experience; internships count.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Experience with Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation, GIS, and modeling tools.
- Construction observation or management experience.
