About The Position

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to join the Site/Civil department focused on the Energy Market Sector in its Richmond, Virginia office. The engineer will work on phases of civil and municipal engineering, including grading, roadway, storm water management systems, water and sanitary sewer, and erosion and sediment control design. The role may also involve permitting and code research, writing specifications, and preparing and submitting permit applications.

As an entry-level hire, the employee will join a class of peers with 0–1 year of professional experience. The entry-level program offers regular professional development events and team-building activities led by an advisory team, intended to help participants build peer connections, understand career growth opportunities, and learn more about Dewberry and its work.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency using CADD.
• Desire to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior internship experience.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam; preferred but not required.
