About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Single Hand Welder. The role focuses on Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), primarily carbon pipe welding in the 6G position, and requires the ability to produce high-quality, structurally sound welds. The successful candidate will read blueprints and welding procedures, follow safety requirements, inspect welds, and use welding and cutting equipment. Work may take place in cold weather, confined spaces, or elevated positions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00–3:30, with the option for overtime. Compensation is $38–$42 per hour.

Requirements

• Pass a 6G SMAW welding test prior to employment.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of welding experience; pipe welding is preferred.
• Be proficient in stick welding (SMAW).
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Have or be willing to test for necessary welding certifications as required.
• Be able to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions if required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with pipe welding.
• Experience with TGAW, including stainless steel TGAW.
• Previous experience in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing setting.
• Additional certifications in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, or FCAW welding processes.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and welding codes such as AWS and ASME.

Responsibilities
