About The Position

The Lot Hand reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine which items need to be moved or distributed. The role moves materials from receiving to storage or other designated areas and organizes inventory in a logical, concise sequence. It also assembles customer orders from stock and/or customers, including trucks, and assists with loading vehicles. The Lot Hand compiles worksheets or tickets according to customer specifications, maintains the premises, and properly stores and cleans work equipment after use.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to apply understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to perform manual work requiring strenuous physical exertion, including continuous walking, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, or lifting.
